A Computational Study on Metalloproteinase in the Snake Venomous of Different Rattle Snake Species in Comparison with the Asian Snake Species
نویسندگان
چکیده
Snake venom is a rich source of metalloproteinase which catalytic mechanism involves a metal after snake bite is an important factor for created disease such as necrosis, heart disease, liver disease. However, this is a very much important protein to design drug for treatment of various diseases. In this study first we compared the amount of essential amino acids Histidine (H), Isoleucine (I), Leucine (L), Lysine (K), Methioninne (M), Phenylalanine (F), Threonine (T), Tryptophan (W) and Valine (V) in metalloproteinase four rattle snake where it was more (47.6%) in Crotalus adamanteus and less (43.3%) in Sistrurus catenatus edwardsi. The multiple sequence alignment showed the highest similarity between C. v. viridis and C. d. durissus (97%) and the lowest between C. adamanteus and S. c. edwardsi (69%). Secondly we compared the percentage of essential amino acids in metalloproteinase of rattle snake C. adamanteus with the Asian snake Naja atra (40.95%) and their similarities was 55%. So rattle snake C. adamanteus contains more essential amino acids in metalloproteinase. This result indicates that metalloproteinase could be useful to develop target drug after isolation from venomous rattle snake species C. adamanteus.

Objective(s): Snake venoms contain complex mixture of proteins with biological activities. Some of these proteins affect blood coagulation and platelet function in different ways. Snake venom toxin may serve as a starting material for drug design to combat several pathophysiological problems such as cardiovascular disorders. In the present study, purification of anticoagulation facto...

متن کاملAntagonistic Effects of Suramin Against the Venom of Snake, Echis Carinatus, on the Circulatory System of Developing Chicken Embryos
Background: The snake, Echis carinatus, one of the most venomous snakes in Asia, possesses a deadly hemotoxic venom. It has been reported that suramin, an anti-trypansomiasis drug, can inhibit the toxic effects of some snake venoms. This study was conducted to evaluate the possible antagonistic effects of suramin against the hemorrhagic activity of the venom from an Iranian snake, Echis carinat...
